Linocut, collage, chin colle, and monotype prints.
I make prints of creatures from ancient times that are powerful and alive. I want the viewer to feel the emotions of the animal. They are in their environment, and they rule.
I also make prints of “creatures of biology.” These depictions of cells, mitochondria, and chromosomes seem to be fully functioning creatures in their own landscapes. These organelles are also similar to ancient beings, having first appeared on earth a couple billion years ago.
